Rowan's Corson, TCNJ's Wexler and Williams Earn NJAC Women's Lacrosse Weekly Honors

PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference has announced its women's lacrosse weekly award winners for the week ending April 12.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ELAINA CORSON • Rowan University
Senior • Attacker • Hainesport, NJ / Rancocas Valley Regional

Corson has been named NJAC Offensive Player of the Week for the third time after totaling 14 points on 11 goals and three assists in a pair of conference victories, and in the process became Rowan’s all-time leading scorer. The two wins extended Rowan's winning streak to eight games. She opened the week with six goals and a .833 shooting percentage in a 16-9 win over Stockton, scoring four consecutive goals in the third and fourth quarters to break a 7-7 tie and give the Profs the lead for good. At Ramapo on Saturday, she added five goals and three assists in a 21-0 victory — and in doing so, surpassed 250 career goals to become Rowan's all-time leading scorer, breaking the record previously held by Becca Wood (2012-15). She currently leads the NJAC in goals per game (4.69), total goals (61), points per game (5.77), and total points (75).

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
HAILEY WEXLER • The College of New Jersey
5th Year • Goalie • Plainsboro, NJ / Princeton Day School

Wexler claimed her first and TCNJ’s second NJAC Defensive Player of the Week honor after a performance for the ages against unbeaten Salisbury on Saturday. She matched her career high with 13 saves — many at point-blank range — as TCNJ held the top-ranked Sea Gulls to just six goals, half of their previous season low and their lowest output of the year. Her heroics helped the Lions limit Salisbury to a single goal in the first half and nearly engineer one of the week's biggest upsets. She also turned in a sharp 30-minute outing in TCNJ's 19-5 win over Kean on Wednesday, allowing just one goal, to finish the week with 14 saves and seven goals allowed across 90 minutes of action. Wexler currently leads all NJAC goalies in goals against average (6.19) and save percentage (.519).

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
ABBY WILLIAMS • The College of New Jersey
Freshman • Defender • Moorestown, NJ / Moorestown

Williams earned NJAC Rookie of the Week recognition for the second time after anchoring the Lions' defensive unit across two games, including a standout effort against unbeaten Salisbury. She caused five turnovers and scooped up four ground balls in TCNJ's 19-5 win over Kean on Wednesday before adding three caused turnovers and three ground balls against the Sea Gulls on Saturday — helping hold Salisbury to six goals, half of their previous season low. Williams leads the NJAC in caused turnovers per game (3.25) and is second in total caused turnovers (39).
