Rutgers-Camden's Edmundo, WPU's Jacobs, Stockton's Enalls Earn NJAC Women's Basketball Weekly Honors

PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference has announced its women's basketball weekly award winners for the week ending Jan. 25.
 

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Edmundo earns NJAC Player of the Week honors after recording back-to-back double-doubles in two Scarlet Raptor victories. The sophomore averaged 21.5 points and 11.0 rebounds while shooting 60.0 percent from the field. She posted a career-high 31 points on 9-of-12 shooting (including 3-of-4 from three-point range) and 10-of-11 from the free throw line against Ramapo on Friday, adding 12 rebounds, five assists, three blocks and one steal. Against Rutgers-Newark on Tuesday, she contributed 12 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block. The performance extended her double-double streak to four consecutive games and marked her ninth double-double in 18 games this season. Edmundo surpassed 500 career points during the week, reaching 525 for her young career. She currently ranks fourth in both conference-only scoring (15.0 ppg) and rebounding (9.6 rpg) and sixth in both conference-only free throw percentage (78.8%) and assists (2.7 apg).

Jacobs earns NJAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after a dominant two-way performance in William Paterson's 2-0 week as the Pioneers extended their conference record to an unblemished 11-0. The junior averaged 10.5 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 1.0 block per game while anchoring a defense that limited opponents to 49.0 points per game. She recorded a game-high four steals while adding eight rebounds (six defensive) and five points as the Pioneers held TCNJ to just 47 points in a home victory on Tuesday. Jacobs followed with a double-double featuring a career-high 13 rebounds (10 defensive), 20 points, two steals and two blocks as William Paterson limited Stockton to 51 points in a road win on Friday. She currently ranks third in conference-only steals (2.7 spg) and fifth in conference-only assists (2.8 apg) while adding 10.3 points and 6.3 boards per game against NJAC opponents.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Enalls is named NJAC Rookie of the Week for the third time and picks up her fifth overall weekly honor after dominating the boards in Stockton's 1-1 week. The freshman led all Ospreys with 10.0 rebounds per game, pulling down 20 total boards including 10 offensive rebounds that created crucial second-chance opportunities. She grabbed 11 rebounds against Kean on Tuesday—her eighth double-digit rebounding performance of the season—and added nine boards against NJAC-leading William Paterson on Friday. Enalls also averaged 9.0 points while shooting an efficient 50.0 percent (8-of-16) from the field, maintaining her team-leading .568 field goal percentage for the season. The rookie currently ranks second in the NJAC in conference-only rebounding (10.5 rpg).
