MSU's Monteiro, WPU's Misko, TCNJ's Najdzinowicz Earn NJAC Men's Soccer Weekly Honors

PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its men's soccer weekly honors for the week ending Oct. 12.
 

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
TOMAS MONTEIRO • Montclair State University
Freshman • Forward • Jersey City, NJ/County Prep
 
Monteiro earns his second weekly honor in as many weeks, as he was selected NJAC Offensive Player of the Week after earning Rookie honors last week. He put together another sensational week for the Red Hawks, totaling eight points on three goals and two assists. The freshman forward netted two goals and an assist in a 5-0 rout of DeSales on Wednesday, then followed up with a goal and an assist in Saturday's 6-4 conference victory over Rutgers-Newark. Monteiro is tied for fifth in the NJAC with seven goals this season and is tied for sixth with 16 points.
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Misko earned NJAC Defensive Player of the Week honors for the third time this year after a strong performance in the Pioneers' 1-1 home draw against No. 18 Rowan. The senior goalkeeper made two crucial saves against the Profs, helping William Paterson earn a valuable conference point against one of the top teams in the nation. Misko ranks second among NJAC keepers in overall goals against average (0.80) and save percentage (.840), and is also second with a .909 conference-only save percentage.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
SEAN NAJDZINOWICZ • The College of New Jersey
Freshman • Goalkeeper • Tinton Falls, NJ/Christian Brothers Academy
 
Najdzinowicz was tabbed NJAC Rookie of the Week after delivering the best performance of his young career in TCNJ's 1-0 conference win over Ramapo. The freshman goalkeeper tied his career high with seven saves, including six crucial stops in the second half, to secure his second shutout of 2025. Najdzinowicz currently ranks third in the NJAC with a .857 goals against average and sports a .842 conference-only save percentage.
