Rowan's McGillen and Norton, Ramapo's Natt Earn NJAC Men's Soccer Weekly Honors

PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its men's soccer weekly honors for the week ending Sept. 14.
 

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
CHRISTIAN MCGILLEN • Rowan University
Junior • Midfielder • Pennsburg, PA / Perkiomen School
 
McGillen collects NJAC Offensive Player of the Week honors after netting the biggest goal of the week for the Profs. He drained the game-winning goal in the 80th minute to lift No. 2 Rowan to a 1-0 victory over No. 4 Cortland in a battle of top-5's. It marked his first game winner as a Prof. The junior midfielder totaled seven shots and four on goal across a 1-0-1 week, also recording three shots in a 1-1 draw with Scranton. He now has two goals on the season.

Natt earns NJAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after anchoring the Roadrunners to a 2-0 week. He posted a career-high 10 saves in a 2-0 shutout over WestConn on Thursday while facing 17 total shots. Natt added three more saves in a 4-1 win over Marywood on Saturday, finishing the week with 13 total saves and a .929 save percentage. He currently leads the NJAC in save percentage (.941) and is tied for the league lead in wins (4).
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
C.J. NORTON • Rowan University
Freshman • Goalkeeper • Lewes, DE / Sussex Academy
 
Norton is named NJAC Rookie of the Week after helping No. 2 Rowan to a 1-0-1 week. The freshman goalkeeper recorded the first shutout of his career in a 1-0 win over No. 4 Cortland, making two saves in the full 90 minutes. He then allowed just one goal while making two more saves in a 1-1 tie at Scranton. Norton owns a 1.40 goals against average through his first five appearances as a Prof.
