PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its women's indoor track and field weekly honors for the week ending Jan. 12.

Aponte earns her first NJAC Track Athlete of the Week honor of the indoor season. She set a new school record in the 3,000 meter race, finishing with a time of 10:53.37 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Spartan Invitational. That is currently the fastest 3,000-meter time in the NJAC this year and fifth in the NCAA Metro Region.

Valenzuela becomes the second Ram to earn NJAC Rookie of the Week honors, joining teammate Victoria DeGraw. Valenzuela was the top Division III finisher and placed second overall in the 400-meter dash at the William Sutherland Invitational, recording a time of 1:04.61. That time currently ranks as the fifth-fastest in the NJAC this year and ninth-fastest in the NCAA Metro Region.
