TCNJ's Fricker, Stockton's Enalls and Evans Earn NJAC Women's Basketball Weekly Honors

PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference has announced its women's basketball weekly award winners for the week ending Jan. 18.
 

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
KATIE FRICKER • The College of New Jersey
Senior • Guard • Marlton, NJ/Cherokee
 
Fricker becomes the second Lion named NJAC Player of the Week this year, joining Week 5 winner Amanda Baylock. She averaged 19.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists while shooting .500 from the field and a perfect 16-for-16 from the free throw line in a pair of conference victories. The senior guard poured in a career-high 24 points in just 27 minutes as TCNJ defeated Montclair State 84-51 on Jan. 14, marking the largest margin of victory for either team in series history. She followed with a 15-point, 14-rebound double-double and five assists in the Lions' 95-55 triumph over NJCU on Jan. 17. Fricker totaled 39 points, 16 rebounds, eight assists, and three steals for the week while shooting 10-for-20 from the field and 3-for-9 from three-point range.
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ZEMIRAH ENALLS • Stockton University
Freshman • Forward • Barnegat, NJ/Barnegat
 
Enalls earned NJAC Defensive Player of the Week recognition for the second time (and her fourth weekly honor overall) after averaging 13.0 rebounds per game, including 7.5 offensive boards, in two conference wins. The freshman forward dominated the glass with 19 rebounds (10 offensive) in Stockton's 55-43 victory over Rowan on Jan. 14, her third 19-rebound performance of the season and fifth double-double as she chipped in 10 points. She added seven rebounds (five offensive) and 11 points in the Ospreys' 62-43 win over Ramapo on Jan. 17 while leading the team with two blocks for the week. Enalls shot .571 from the field. She currently leads all NJAC rookies and is second overall in conference-only rebounding (10.6 rpg) and is among the top 10 in conference-only blocks (0.9 bpg).
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
BRE EVANS • Stockton University
Freshman • Guard • Neptune, NJ/Neptune
 
Evans picked up her second and Stockton’s fifth NJAC Rookie of the Week honor after leading the Ospreys with 15.5 points, 3.0 steals, and 2.5 assists per game in two conference victories. The freshman guard scored a team-high 19 points while playing all 40 minutes and shooting .500 from the field in the Ospreys' 55-43 win over Rowan on Jan. 14. She followed with 12 points and four steals in Stockton's 62-43 victory over Ramapo on Jan. 17. Evans totaled six steals for the week and currently ranks fourth in the NJAC in conference-only steals (2.6 spg). She is also tied for fifth in conference-only assists (2.9 apg) and among the top 15 in conference-only scoring (11.0 ppg).
