TCNJ's Huff and Hoffman, Stockton's Bailey Earn NJAC Field Hockey Weekly Honors

PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its field hockey weekly honors for the week ending Sept. 21.
 

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
JADYN HUFF • The College of New Jersey
Junior • Forward/Midfielder • Burlington, NJ/Princeton Day School
 
Huff captures NJAC Offensive Player of the Week honors after leading TCNJ to a perfect 2-0 week with crucial goals in both victories. She extended her season-opening point streak to seven consecutive games, netting goals in Wednesday's thrilling 4-3 double-overtime triumph over Swarthmore and Saturday's impressive 2-1 upset of No. 11 Ursinus. Against Ursinus, Huff was instrumental in both Lions goals, assisting on Codie Sciacca's opening tally before delivering the game-winner off a corner injection with just over five minutes remaining. She currently leads the NJAC in points (16) and points per game (2.29), is tied for first in goals (6), and is tied for second in assists (4), assists per game (.571), and goals per game (.857).
 
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
KIRSTEN BAILEY • Stockton University
Senior • Midfielder • Burlington, NJ/Burlington Twp.
 
Bailey earns NJAC Defensive Player of the Week recognition after recording two defensive saves against Washington College, adding to her total of nine career defensive saves that rank tied for third in Stockton history. The senior midfielder also contributed offensively with her fourth goal of the season in a 3-1 victory over Alvernia as the Ospreys went 1-1 for the week. Bailey is currently tied for the NJAC lead in defensive saves this season with four and also ranks fourth in points (11), goals (4), and assists (3).
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
LINDSEY HOFFMAN • The College of New Jersey
Freshman • Forward/Midfielder • West Chester, PA/B. Reed Henderson
 
Hoffman claims NJAC Rookie of the Week recognition after making an immediate impact in her first extended collegiate action. Inserted at halftime against Swarthmore after playing just two minutes total in the first five games, the freshman created the opportunity that led to TCNJ's game-tying goal with 15 seconds left in regulation and recorded the assist on Isabel Maher's double-overtime game-winner in the Lions' dramatic 4-3 victory. Her outstanding performance earned her first career start in Saturday's upset win over No. 11 Ursinus, helping TCNJ complete a perfect week.
