GENEVA, OH — The final day of the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the SPIRE Institute delivered a banner performance for the New Jersey Athletic Conference, highlighted by a national champion, three national runners-up, and 11 total All-America honors achieved.
A huge hurdles performance that propelled the Rowan men to a third-place team finish with 44.5 points. The 110 hurdles crew netted 20 of those points, the most by any team in a single event at the meet. Jamir Brown surged to a national title in 13.75 seconds, with teammate Jason Agyemang right behind at 13.82 for the national runner-up spot. Anaias Hughes completed the trio for Rowan with a seventh-place finish in 14.71, earning First Team All-America honors.
Rowan’s 4x100-meter relay of Shamar Love, Robert McKinney, Eli Hendricks, and Evan Corcoran added another highlight, claiming national runners-up honors with a time of 39.72.
In the 200 meters, Rajahn Dixon placed eighth in 21.42, while Eli Hendricks — returning to the track shortly after his relay leg — was a hair behind and finished ninth, earning Second Team All-America honors.
Montclair State’s Hiven Biffot delivered an NJAC-best in the field events, placing second in the triple jump with a leap of 15.32 meters. Biffot tied for the top mark but was edged on a tiebreaker to come away with the national runner-up finish to cap an outstanding rookie season.
On the women’s side, Nyla Jones of Rowan continued her strong showing in the 400-meter hurdles, finishing fifth in 1:01.46 to secure First Team All-America honors. Kayla Kass of Stockton also earned First Team All-America distinction, placing seventh in the 800 meters with a time of 2:09.21 — a strong close to her postseason run as part of the fastest 800 meter field in championship history.
