Salisbury's Potts, USMMA's Kov, UMW's Harvey Earn NJAC Men's Swimming & Diving Weekly Honors

PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its men's swimming & diving weekly honors for the week ending Nov. 16.
 

SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
MASON POTTS • Salisbury University
Sophomore • Lansdale, PA/North Penn
 
Potts collects his second and Salisbury’s third NJAC Swimmer of the Week honor. He dominated Salisbury's road victory at Swarthmore, capturing four gold medals and tying for the meet high with 18 points. He posted the second-fastest times in the NJAC this season in both the 100-yard freestyle (46.68) and 100-yard backstroke (51.05), with his backstroke time ranking tied for 34th nationally in Division III. The sophomore also led off both the winning 200-yard medley relay (1:32.02) and 200-yard freestyle relay (1:24.22) as the Sea Gulls swept the meet.

Kov picks up his first NJAC Diver of the Week honor of the season after delivered an exceptional performance in the Mariners' home Skyline Conference quad-meet, hitting NCAA regional qualifying marks in both diving events. He recorded a score of 306.68 on the one-meter board and 314.93 on the three-meter board—both representing the top six-dive marks in the NJAC this season. His performances rank 15th nationally in Division III on 1-meter and 16th on 3-meter, leading Merchant Marine to a trio of conference victories over St. Joseph's-Long Island, Mount St. Mary, and SUNY Maritime.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
BRANDON HARVEY • University of Mary Washington
Freshman • Mechanicsville, VA/Atlee
 
Harvey is named NJAC Rookie of the Week after he swept his individual events in Mary Washington's 179-83 victory over St. Mary's (MD), capturing gold in both the 50-yard freestyle (21.90) and 50-yard butterfly (23.29). His butterfly time is tied for first in the NJAC this season and ranks tied for 29th nationally in Division III, while his freestyle effort sits tied for 11th in the conference. The freshman also contributed to first-place finishes in both the 200-yard medley relay and 200-yard freestyle relay.
