Kean's Wilson, WPU's Royster, Salisbury's Odonoghue Earn NJAC Women's Swimming & Diving Weekly Honors

PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its women's swimming & diving weekly honors for the week ending Nov. 16.
 

SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
BRAELYN WILSON • Kean University
Sophomore • Mont Vernon, NH/The Academy for Science and Design
 
Wilson is named NJAC Swimmer of the Week for the third time for her performance in Kean’s win at Bryn Mawr. She swept all four of her events in dominant fashion, capturing gold in the 50-yard freestyle (24.02), 100-yard freestyle (53.41) and 100-yard butterfly (56.86) while also contributing a 31.88 backstroke leadoff leg in the winning 200-yard medley relay (1:51.52). Her butterfly time stands as the fastest in the NJAC this season and ranks 14th nationally in Division III, while her 100 free sits second in the conference. The sophomore's 50 free represents her second-fastest time of the year, placing her among the top 20 swimmers nationally in the event.
 
DIVER OF THE WEEK
JOELLE ROYSTER • William Paterson University
Freshman • Silver Spring, MD/Wheaton
 
Royster earns her first career NJAC Diver of the Week honor after she captured first place on the 1-meter board with a score of 175.45 in the Pioneers' meet at SUNY Maritime. Her six-dive performance currently ranks fourth in the NJAC this season, highlighting a strong start to her rookie campaign for the Maryland native.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
ROWAN ODONOGHUE • Salisbury University
Freshman • Newark, DE/Saint Mark's
 
Odonoghue continues to impress, picking up her fourth NJAC Rookie of the Week honor and third consecutive. She earned medals in all four of her events during Salisbury's dual meet at Swarthmore, headlined by a gold medal in the 500-yard freestyle (5:10.51) and bronze in the 200-yard freestyle (1:56.76). She also contributed a silver medal anchoring the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:39.03) and bronze in the 200-yard medley relay (1:49.57). Both of her individual freestyle times rank as the fastest in the NJAC this season, with her 500 free sitting 35th nationally in Division III.
