UNION, NJ --- Top-seeded Kean University swept fourth-seeded William Paterson 3-0 (25-15, 25-18, 25-18) in the NJAC Women's Volleyball Championship semifinal on November 13, 2025, at Harwood Arena.
The Cougars (28-5, 7-1 NJAC) dominated throughout, hitting .299 as a team while limiting the Pioneers (19-12, 5-3 NJAC) to just a .130 hitting percentage. Kean advances to host the championship match on Saturday, November 15, at 4:00 PM against Stockton, the winner of the other semifinal match on Thursday night.
Ashley Torok put up a match-high 13 kills to go with five digs and three aces. Cayley Elena Morrison spiked nine kills while posting a team-best .538 hitting percentage and Alison Kowalewski added a near double-double of nine kills and eight digs.
Aspen O'Brien orchestrated Kean's balanced attack with 32 assists while hitting .667 on her six attempts with four kills. Madeline Dohogne anchored the defense with 16 digs and added four service aces, while Annabelle Valencia contributed 13 digs.
For William Paterson, Riley Elliott led the offensive effort with nine kills. Cecilia Miller added six kills, and Sofia Zablackis contributed four.
Abby Houpt distributed 15 assists for the Pioneers, while Bella Demers paced the defense with 12 digs.
Kean's dominance was most evident in the opening set, where the Cougars hit a remarkable .667 with 16 kills on just 21 attempts and only two errors.
