GLASSBORO, NJ --- Third-seeded Stockton defeated second-seeded Rowan 3-1 (25-23, 25-22, 17-25, 28-26) in a thrilling NJAC Women's Volleyball Championship semifinal on November 13, 2025, at Esby Gym.
The Ospreys (22-8, 6-2 NJAC) advance to face top-seeded Kean in Saturday's championship match at 4:00 PM in Union.
Kate Louer delivered a dominant performance for Stockton, recording 20 kills on 46 attempts for a .326 hitting percentage. The outside hitter added 14 digs, two service aces, and four block assists in one of the most complete performances of the tournament.
Jalynn Grant was impressive with 11 kills on a .400 hitting percentage, adding six block assists. Nicole Palmer contributed 11 kills, while also recording six digs and a block assist.
Regan Mendick distributed 17 assists and came up with four big kills. Kristen Burton orchestrated the offense with 28 assists and added two service aces, while Helen Murray anchored the defense with 14 digs.
McKenna Ritchie continued her strong defensive play with nine digs, including the 1,000
th of her career.
For Rowan, Abigail Chadwick led the offense with 19 kills while hitting an impressive .536. Jessica Smart added 17 kills.
Raven Albrecht distributed 45 assists for the Profs, while Vanessa Hutchinson paced the defense with 20 digs.
The match was a closely contested affair throughout, featuring 27 tie scores and 12 lead changes. Stockton took the first two sets by narrow margins of 25-23 and 25-22, building momentum behind Louer's offensive attack.
Rowan fought back in the third set, hitting .321 to claim a 25-17 victory and force a fourth set. The Profs carried that momentum into the final frame, which featured eight tie scores and three lead changes.
The fourth set was a back-and-forth battle that saw Stockton eventually prevail 28-26 to close out the match.
Both teams were evenly matched at the service line with eight aces apiece.
With the hard-fought victory, Stockton advances to Saturday's championship match where they will face top-seeded Kean at Harwood Arena at 4:00 PM. The Ospreys will look to capture the NJAC title against a Cougars team that swept William Paterson in the other semifinal.
