UNION, NJ – Kean University captured its first New Jersey Athletic Conference volleyball championship since 2018, sweeping Stockton University 25-15, 25-11, 26-24 on Saturday afternoon at Harwood Arena. The Cougars (29-5, 7-1 NJAC) earned the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship, with the selection show scheduled for Monday, Nov. 17.
 
Kean dominated from the opening serve, hitting .372 as a team while limiting Stockton to a .000 attack percentage. The Cougars posted 42 kills against just 13 errors on 78 total attacks, controlling play in all three sets.
 
Cayley Elena Morrison led all players with 16 kills on a .619 hitting percentage, adding one block solo and three block assists for 18.5 points. Ashley Torok added 15 kills on .500 hitting with four digs and 16.0 points for the Cougars.
 
Setter Aspen O'Brien orchestrated the Kean attack with 34 assists while hitting a perfect 1.000 (4-0-4) and adding three digs. Madeline Dohogne anchored the defense with a match-high eight digs and contributed one service ace.
 
Alison Kowalewski provided 3 kills, two service aces, one block solo and two block assists, finishing with four digs. Aubre Adams recorded three kills, one block solo and five digs.
 
For Stockton (22-9, 6-2 NJAC), Nicole Palmer led with eight kills on .333 hitting. Kate Louer added six kills and four digs, while Helen Murray paced the defensive effort with five digs. Setter Regan Mendick distributed nine assists and added one service ace.
 
Kean took control early in the first two sets, building commanding leads and never allowing Stockton to threaten. The third set proved more competitive with 10 tie scores and eight lead changes before the Cougars closed out the match.
 
The Cougars await their opponent and tournament destination when the NCAA reveals the 64-team bracket on Monday.
