Ramapo's Wright, MSU's Smilevski Earn First NJAC Men's Swimming & Diving Weekly Honors of 2025-26

PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its men's swimming & diving weekly honors for the week ending Oct. 5.

Wright earns the first NJAC Swimmer of the Week award of the 2025-26 season. He kicked off his sophomore campaign with a dominant showing at the College of Staten Island Kick Off Invite, posting national top-10 times. The distance specialist from the UK claimed first place in the 500 free (4:49.35) and 1000 free (9:55.61) while adding a runner-up finish in the 200 butterfly (2:01.85). His 1000 free time currently ranks fourth in NCAA Division III and his 500 free time is sixth in D3 early in the season.

Smilevski made an impressive collegiate debut at the College of Staten Island Kick-Off Invite, placing in the top four in all his events. The freshman freestyler helped the Red Hawks win the 200 free relay (1:27.23), took second in the 200 free (1:49.05), and added fourth-place finishes in both the 50 free (22.60) and 100 free (49.56). His 100 and 200 free times are among the top 45 in D3.
