PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its men's indoor track and field weekly honors for the week ending Jan. 26.
TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
JAMIR BROWN • Rowan University
Freshman • Riverside, NJ/Riverside
Brown collects his second NJAC Track Athlete of the Week honor for his performance at the Dr. Sander Invitational. He hit the #2 NCAA Division III time in the 60-meter hurdles (7.90), second only to his own top-ranked time from earlier this season (7.72).
FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
DANIEL BAMFO • Farmingdale State College
Junior • Lake Grove, NY/Connetquot
Bamfo is named NJAC Field Athlete of the Week for the second time this season. Competing at the Wesleyan Indoor Invitational, he achieved personal bests in both the triple jump (14.31m, 46-11.5) and long jump (6.52m, 21-4.75). Bamfo’s triple jump mark ranks fifth nationally.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
MAXIM RYCHKOV • The College of New Jersey
Freshman • Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville
Rychkov earns his second consecutive NJAC Rookie of the Week honor. At the Nazareth Conference Challenge Cup, he clocked 48.92 in the 400-meter dash, finishing third and recording the second-best time in TCNJ history. His performance also ranks as the top 400-meter time in the NJAC and Metro Region this season and 10
th in NCAA Division III. Rychkov followed up with a blazing 48.67 split on the 4x400-meter relay, which posted an AARTFC qualifying time of 3:20.30.
