Tate Selected USTFCCCA Division III Men's Assistant Coach of the Year

NEW ORLEANS, LA -- Rowan Track & Field Assistant Coach Norm Tate was selected the 2025 United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division III Men's Indoor Track & Field National Assistant Coach of the Year.

Tate earns the honor for the indoor season after being named to the same award for the 2024 outdoor season. He was recently honored with the USTFCCCA Metro Region Assistant Coach of the Year as well.

Now in his 17th year as assistant at Rowan, Tate coached ten Profs to earn All-America honors at the 2025 NCAA Division III Indoor Championships – four as part of an unprecedented 1-2-4-5 finish in the 60-meter hurdles led by Jason Agyemang. That group of hurdlers (Agyemang, Marquise Young, Kwaku Nkrumah, and Jamir Brown), have all-time DIII indoor rankings of No. 1, No. 3, No. 7 and No. 11 respectively, with Brown holding the national record at 7.72.

The Profs totaled 32 team points to finish the DIII Championship in third place.
