PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference has announced its men's outdoor track & field weekly honors for the week ending April 3.
TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
TRESHAN STEVENSON • Rowan University
Freshman • Millville, NJ/Millville
Stevenson collects his second consecutive weekly honor, this time at the NJAC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week after earning rookie honors a week ago. Stevenson ran the sixth fastest time in NCAA Division III in winning the 400 meter hurdles at the Danny Curran Invite over the weekend. He was also a member of the winning 4x400 relay that clocked a 3:18.91, which currently ranks tied for fourth in the nation.
FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
JUDE MISKO • Rutgers-Camden
Senior • Philadelphia, PA/Cherry Hill East
Misko collects NJAC Field Athlete of the Week honors for the first time this season after he broke his own program record with a hammer throw of 62.21 at the Danny Curran Invitational. He finished fifth of nine throwers, trailing only unaffiliated or club program athletes. Misko’s old hammer throw record was 61.19 meters, set last spring at the Philadelphia Metropolitan Collegiate Invitational. His throw currently ranks as the best in NCAA Division III so far this season, and is over 2.5 meters farther than the second-ranked toss.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
TOBIAS PRALL • Rutgers-Camden
Freshman • Trenton, NJ/Hamilton West
Prall earns his first career weekly honor as he is named the NJAC Rookie of the Week. Prall captured his honor after setting two program records in two days. On Friday, he broke his one-week old record in the triple jump with a leap of 13.59 meters. He finished sixth of 15 athletes in the event while improving the mark of 13.40 meters he set on March 26 at the season-opening Stockton Invitational. On Saturday, Prall’s long jump of 6.60 meters broke the old Rutgers-Camden program record of 6.45 meters, which was set in 1993 and tied in 2001. Prall finished second of 27 athletes in that event.
