GENEVA, OH – The 2025 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships opened at the SPIRE Institute with several NJAC standouts making their mark on the national stage. Leading the way was Rowan’s Damitrius Hester, who delivered a throw of 66.55 meters in the men’s javelin to finish as the national runner-up, earning First Team All-America honors.
Hester’s performance solidified his place among the nation’s elite, outdistancing nearly the entire field and securing Rowan’s first podium finish of the meet. His throw of 66.55 meters marked a personal best for the sophomore.
Rowan’s sprints group surged into Saturday’s finals. In the men’s 200 meters, Rajahn Dixon (3rd, 21.13) and Eli Hendricks (6th, 21.22) both advanced to Saturday’s final. Rowan’s 4x100-meter relay of Shamar Love, Robert McKinney, Eli Hendricks, and Evan Corcoran lit up the track with a 39.97 – the second-fastest time in the prelims and the fourth-fastest in Division III history – to secure a spot in the final.
On the women’s side, Rowan’s Nyla Jones qualified for Saturday’s final in the 400 meter hurdles. She clocked a 1:02.36 finish to place 9th overall to earn the last spot in the final.
A slew of NJAC athletes also earned Second Team All-America honors on Thursday.
Rowan’s Izzy Deal placed 12th in the javelin with a mark of 38.92 meters, earning Second Team All-America honors to cap her season. In the 400-meter hurdles, a trio of NJAC competitors landed in the All-America range: TCNJ’s Eliza Bruncaj (13th, 1:02.74), Rowan’s Molly Lodge (15th, 1:02.97), and Stockton’s Emma Petrolia (16th, 1:03.00).
Rutgers-Newark’s Zrreyah Moore earned Second Team honors as well, running 24.53 in the 200 meters to finish 12th in the nation.
The TCNJ men’s 4x400-meter relay of Noah Traverso, Anthony Senatore, Nate Adams, and Maxim Rychkov finished 11th in 3:16.02, with Rowan’s squad of Jarquil Young, Nana Agyemang, Lowrentzky Ambroise, and Luke Halbruner just behind in 12th at 3:16.03—both teams earning Second Team All-America distinction.
Maxim Rychkov also ran 21.41 in the 200-meter prelims, placing 10th to earn two Second Team All-America honors on the day.
Ahmad Fogg of Stockton was 16th in the long jump with a leap of 6.91 meters, also earning Second Team All-America status.
