PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its women's volleyball weekly honors for the week ending Sept. 6.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
BREANNA CRAIG • Montclair State University
Junior • Middle Blocker • Lansdowne, PA/Henderson
Craig has been named the first NJAC Player of the Week of the 2026 season after leading Montclair State to a perfect 5-0 opening week. The junior middle blocker piled up 42 kills (2.63 per set) on an efficient .410 hitting percentage, adding nine digs, four service aces, and five blocks to round out a complete all-around performance. Craig opened the week with a 13-kill effort in a sweep of Manhattanville, then followed with five kills on a perfect 1.000 clip in a sweep of Paul Smiths. She added 10 kills against SUNY Oneonta before closing the week with a 12-kill, five-block showing in a win over Wheaton (MA).
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
MIA OWENS • Rutgers University-Camden
Senior • Libero/Defensive Specialist • Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown
Owens has been named the first NJAC Defensive Player of the Week of the 2026 season after anchoring the back row for a 3-1 week for the Raptors. The senior libero opened with 22 digs and three aces in a win over Widener, then added 10 digs in a sweep of Immaculata. She turned in 13 digs in a win over Penn College before closing the week with 19 digs in a loss to DeSales. Owens finished the week with 64 total digs, averaging 4.92 per set, to go with seven service aces (0.54 per set).
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
NISSI WADIEH • Rutgers University-Camden

Wadieh has been named the first NJAC Rookie of the Week of the 2026 season after a highly efficient debut week for the Raptors. The freshman opened with four kills and five blocks in a win over Widener, then turned in six kills and another five blocks in a sweep of Immaculata. She added six kills on a .625 clip in a win over Penn College before closing the week with three kills against DeSales. Wadieh finished the week hitting .325 with 19 kills (1.46 per set) against just six errors and a team-best 13 total blocks, averaging 1.00 block per set.
