PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its women's outdoor track & field weekly honors for the week ending April 5.
TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
NYLA JONES • Rowan University
Sophomore • Sicklerville, NJ/Timber Creek
Jones earns NJAC Track Athlete of the Week honors after an outstanding multi-event performance at the Embry-Riddle Running Elements meet. The sophomore posted a time of 14.38 in the 100-meter hurdles, which ranks 10th in NCAA Division III and first in the NJAC this season. She added a personal-best 24.67 in the 200 meters, ranking 12th nationally and second in the conference, and contributed to Rowan’s 4x400 relay that ranks second in the NJAC. Jones currently leads the Metro Region in the 100-meter hurdles and ranks second in both the 200 meters and 4x400 relay.
FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
ELAINA STYER • Stockton University
Junior • Estell Manor, NJ/Ocean City
Styer garners NJAC Field Athlete of the Week honors after a dominant two-event performance at the Osprey Open. The junior won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.50, which ranks 13th in NCAA Division III, and captured first place in the long jump with a mark of 5.63 meters, tying for ninth nationally. Styer currently ranks first in the Metro Region in the long jump and second in the 100-meter hurdles.

Freshman • Hampton Bays, NY/Hampton Bays
Pensa Johnson earns NJAC Rookie of the Week honors after a standout performance at the Osprey Open. The freshman won the discus with a throw of 39.72 meters, which ranks first in the NJAC and second in the Metro Region, while also recording personal-best marks in both the hammer throw and shot put.
