Rowan Sweeps NJAC Men's Outdoor Weekly Honors; Clevenger, Hester, Ross Honored

PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its men's outdoor track & field weekly honors for the week ending April 5.
 

TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
SETH CLEVENGER • Rowan University
Junior • Haddonfield, NJ/Haddonfield
 
Clevenger earns NJAC Track Athlete of the Week honors after a historic performance in the 10,000 meters at the Sam Howell Invitational. The junior clocked a time of 29:06.90 to win the event, breaking a 45-year-old program record while posting the fastest time in NCAA Division III this season.
 
FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
DAMITRIUS HESTER • Rowan University
Junior • Mahwah, NJ/Mahwah
 
Hester garners NJAC Field Athlete of the Week honors after delivering a historic performance in the javelin at the Embry-Riddle Running Elements meet. The junior recorded a throw of 73.29 meters, which ranks No. 1 in NCAA Division III this season and fourth all-time in Division III history. Hester also broke his own school record with the mark.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
CHRIS ROSS • Rowan University
Freshman • Franklin, NJ/Wallkill Valley
 
Ross earns NJAC Rookie of the Week honors after an outstanding collegiate outdoor debut at the Ursinus Springfest. He captured first place in the long jump with a mark of 7.34 meters, which ranks third in NCAA Division III this season.
