PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its women's outdoor track & field weekly honors for the week ending March 22.
TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
EMMA PETROLIA • Stockton University
Senior • Sprints/Hurdles • New Milford, NJ/New Milford
Petrolia earns the first NJAC Track Athlete of the Week honor of the 2026 outdoor season after a standout performance at the Stockton Invitational. She won the 400-meter hurdles in 1:01.32 and anchored the Ospreys' 4x400-meter relay to a first-place finish in 4:03.10. Both times rank first in the NJAC and Metro Region, with her 400-meter hurdles mark sitting sixth nationally in Division III and the relay clocking in at 10th in the country after the opening weekend of outdoor competition.

JOIE BUXTON • Stockton University

Buxton has been selected as the first NJAC Field Athlete of the Week of the 2026 outdoor season after winning her first collegiate outdoor event with a javelin throw of 40.42 meters at the Stockton Invitational, topping a field of 29 throwers. The freshman's mark ranks third nationally after the first weekend of competition and is best in both the NJAC and Metro Region.

Pensa Johnson claims the first NJAC Rookie of the Week honor of the outdoor season after setting a Rutgers-Camden program record in the discus with a throw of 39.84 meters to win the event at the Stockton Invitational, topping a field of 41 competitors. Her mark ranks 15th nationally in Division III and first in the Metro Region. She also placed ninth in the region in the shot put with a mark of 10.40 meters across a busy outdoor debut at the meet.
