GREENSBORO, N.C. (6/23/25) – Jason Gilman has been tabbed the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and Rawlings Sporting Goods 2025 Division III National Pitcher of the Year.
The ABCA/Rawlings Players of the Year are selected by the ABCA coaches committees from the nine divisions of amateur baseball: NCAA Div. I, II & III, NAIA, NJCAA Div. I, II & III, Pacific Association Division, and high school. First-Team All-America selections were eligible for Player and Pitcher of the Year honors.
Gilman becomes the first student-athlete in program history to earn a major award from the ABCA. In addition, Head Coach
Neil Ioviero was named ABCA National Coach of the Year in 2007.
Gilman becomes the first NJAC Pitcher and third overall player to earn a national award from the ABCA. The senior joins
Steve Yelin (2023- William Paterson) and
Gerard Haran (2006 -TCNJ).
The ABCA began recognizing both a Pitcher and a Position Player of the Year beginning in 2018. Prior to that, one player was selected as a National Player of the Year for the division.
