AUSTIN, Texas (7/1/25) – Jason Gilman has been selected the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Division III Academic All-America Baseball Team Member of the Year.
Gilman hails from Old Bridge, New Jersey, and is majoring in athletic training. He recently graduated from Kean University with a 3.88 cumulative GPA.
Gilman started 14 games for the Cougars and was recently named the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and Rawlings Sporting Goods Division III National Pitcher of the Year. Gilman led Division III with 125 strikeouts while going 14-1 on the hill on 112.1 innings pitched. He helped guide the Cougars to a 41-11 overall record and an appearance in the NCAA College World Series.
Gilman was also named to the CSC Academic All-America First Team.
The Division III team boasts a 3.80 average GPA, with a 3.81 average for the first team. Two of the 34 Division III selections have a cumulative 4.0 grade point average.
The senior becomes the first in program history to both capture the award and be named to the Academic All-American team.
Gilman is the 21
st overall selection and the seventh overall selection on the first team joining Jenna Flemings (Field Hockey – 2024), Shannon McCoy (Women's Basketball – 2023), Caroline Ratti (Softball – 2019), T.J. Denehy (Football – 2011), Loretta Zahn (1995), and Tina Rivera (Softball – 1992).
The Division III Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division III national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Division III Academic All-America® program.
