Ramapo Sweeps NJAC Women's Indoor Weekly Honors; Gordon, Parker Anderson, Jones Honored

PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its women's indoor track & field weekly honors for the week ending Dec. 14.
 

TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
ASHLEY GORDON • Ramapo College
Junior • Newton, NJ/Kittatinny
 
Gordon earned Track Athlete of the Week honors after competing at Thursday's Wagner Seahawk Shootout at Ocean Breeze. The junior clocked 8.06 in the 60-meter dash and owns the fourth-fastest time in the NJAC this season. She also anchored the 4x200-meter relay team that posted an AARTFC qualifying time of 1:47.65, finishing 14th out of 21 teams across all three NCAA divisions.

Parker Anderson claimed Field Athlete of the Week recognition after jumping 5.21 meters in the long jump at Thursday's Wagner Seahawk Shootout at Ocean Breeze. The freshman placed ninth overall in a field of 44 competitors that included NCAA Division I, Division III and unattached athletes while moving to No. 6 all-time on Ramapo's indoor program list. Her jump also ranks third in the NJAC and fourth in the Metro Region so far this year. She also contributed to the 4x200-meter relay team that qualified for the AARTFC Championships with a time of 1:47.65.

Jones was named Rookie of the Week after competing in the 60-meter hurdles and 4x200-meter relay at Thursday's Wagner Seahawk Shootout at Ocean Breeze. The freshman clocked 9.83 in the 60-meter hurdles in a field that included NCAA Division I, Division II and Division III competitors, posting the 10th-fastest time in the NJAC this season and 16th in the NCAA Metro Region. She also ran on the 4x200-meter 'B' relay team that finished in 1:50.98.
