Eight NJAC Student-Athletes Earn AVCA All-America Honors

PITMAN, NJ --- Eight New Jersey Athletic Conference student-athletes have been named to the AVCA Division III All-America teams, the organization announced. Kean’s Aspen O'Brien and Cayley Elena Morrison earned Second Team honors, while six additional NJAC representatives garnered Honorable Mention recognition.
 
O'Brien, the AVCA Region 4 Player of the Year, ranked fourth in NCAA Division III with 10.61 assists per set and third nationally in total assists with 1,262. She added 52 service aces, orchestrating an offense that propelled Kean to the NJAC regular season and tournament championships and into the Second Round of the NCAA tournament.
 
Morrison, the NJAC Co-Defensive Player of the Year, finished her junior year ranked eighth nationally in hitting percentage (.396) and 12th in total blocks (125). She also led the conference in blocks per set (1.07) while ranking fifth in the NJAC in kills per set (3.58) and third in points per set (4.33).
 
NJAC student-athletes earning AVCA Honorable Mention All-America recognition include:
 
  • Ashley Torok, Kean (OH, Fr.) – The AVCA Region 4 Freshman of the Year finished 2025 ranked second in the conference in kills per set (3.77) and averaged 4.34 points per set.
     
  • Abigail Chadwick, Rowan (RS, Jr.) – Chadwick led the NJAC in service aces per set (0.74) while ranking third in assists per set (9.31).
     
  • Jessica Smart, Rowan (OH, Fr.) – Smart finished fourth in the conference in kills per set (3.61) and eighth in points per set (3.77).
     
  • Kate Louer, Stockton (OH, Sr.) – Louer ranked third in the NJAC in kills per set (3.75) and fifth in points per set (4.20).
     
  • Nicole Palmer, Stockton (RS, Jr.) – Palmer ranked 10th in the conference in kills per set (3.09) and ninth in points per set (3.67).
     
  • Bella Demers, William Paterson (L, So.) – Demers led the NJAC in digs per set at 5.06, recording 572 total digs.
