Rutgers-Newark's Moore, Rutgers-Camden's Hilt, Rowan's Lodge Earn NJAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field Weekly Honors

PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference has announced its women's outdoor track & field weekly honors for the week ending May 22.

TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
ZRREYAH MOORE • Rutgers-Newark
Sophomore • Newark, NJ/Payne Tech

Moore earns NJAC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week honors after another outstanding week, which included an NCAA qualification. She won her 200 meter heat of the AARTFC Championships and placed third overall with a time of 24.66 seconds. That moved her into the national top 20, which means Moore is headed to nationals next weekend. Her 24.66 seconds ranks second all-time at Rutgers-Newark and the sophomore owns seven of the Scarlet Raiders’ top 11 times in program history, all of which were achieved this season. Moore also broke the school record in the 100 meters at the AARTFC meet, where she finished with a silver medal and ran the D3 Metro Region’s fastest time of the season (12.04 seconds). Moore also owns five of the top six 100 meter times in Scarlet Raider history, all achieved this season.


FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
EMILY HILT • Rutgers-Camden
Senior • Mickleton, NJ/Kingsway Regional

Hilt is named NJAC Field Athlete of the Week for the third time this season after winning all three events she competed in at the ECAC Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Her hammer throw of 52.42 meters broke her own program record and qualified her for the NCAA Championships. She also threw 12.93 meters to win the shot put, and owns the D3 Metro Region’s fifth-best mark of the season in that event. Hilt also collected a win in the discus with a toss of 34.87 meters. In addition to her hammer throw program record set at the ECAC meet, Hilt’s stellar senior season has included program records in the shot put (13.03 meters) and the discus (37.49 meters). She will compete in the national meet this coming weekend to wrap up her senior year.


ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
MOLLY LODGE • Rowan University
Freshman • Woodstown, NJ/Woodstown

Lodge earns NJAC Rookie of the Week honors for the second time this season. Lodge took third in the 400 meters (56.99) and was ninth in the 200 meters (25.37) at the AARTFC Championships. The rookie also ran in the 4x100 (48.25) and 4x400 (3:50.11) relay teams, where the Profs were fifth and fourth, respectively. The Profs’ 4x400 time ranks 16th in the nation and earned them a spot in the NCAA Championships. Lodge was also selected to nationals in the 400 meters with her time of 56.88 seconds earlier this season. She owns the D3 Metro Region’s fourth-fastest 400 meter time and the region’s eighth-fastest 100 meter time.
