Rowan's Hester, Gonzalez, Brown, and Staff, Stockton's Fogg Earn Major Awards as NJAC Men's Outdoor T&F All-Conference Announced

PITMAN, NJ --- Rowan University junior Damitrius Hester (Mahwah, NJ/Mahwah) has been selected as the NJAC's Thomas M. Gerrity Most Outstanding Athlete to highlight the 2026 NJAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field All-Conference Team.

Additionally, Rowan sophomore Angel Gonzalez (Magnolia, NJ/Triton) was named Outstanding Track Athlete; Stockton University junior Ahmad Fogg (Egg Harbor Township, NJ/Egg Harbor Township) was named Outstanding Field Athlete; and Rowan freshman David Brown (Edison, NJ/Edison) was named Rookie of the Year. Rowan's coaching staff led by Dustin Dimit was voted the Bill Fritz Coaching Staff of the Year.

All-Conference honors were determined by finish at the recent NJAC Outdoor Track & Field Championship and major awards were voted on by the league's nine head coaches.

Hester continued an outstanding season in the javelin with one of the premier throws in the country, winning the NJAC title with a career-best heave of 73.38 meters — the best throw in NCAA Division III this season. The mark was hard-earned, as Hester had already pushed his career best to 73.29 meters at the Embry-Riddle meet earlier this year before surpassing it to win the conference title. He is a two-time NJAC Field Athlete of the Week honoree this season.

Gonzalez turned in one of the most eye-catching individual performances of the championship meet in the 400 meter hurdles, running a career-best 53.02 seconds in the preliminary round only to obliterate that mark with a 51.26 in the final to claim the NJAC title. His winning time of 51.26 seconds stands as the second-fastest in D3 this season.

Fogg earned the conference's top field athlete honor with one of the most versatile performances of the championship meet, competing in three events. He claimed gold in the long jump with a leap of 7.43 meters, which ranks third in NCAA Division III this season, and added a third-place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 13.91 meters that currently ranks 11th in the NCAA Metro Region. He also cleared 1.88 meters in the high jump to place eighth.

Brown won the NJAC high jump title with a clearance of 2.09 meters and is one of three Rowan high jumpers ranked in the national top five this year. His season-best 2.14 meters, posted at Widener earlier this season, is tied for third in D3. Brown was also named NJAC Rookie of the Week in Week 4 of the regular season.

Rowan's coaching staff — led by Dustin Dimit and including Norm Tate, Eric DuBois, Ryan Gebhardt, Milton Goode, John Oberg, Joseph Kalnas, Jassina Surles, Francis Terry, Miles Voenell, and Soham Kolli — earned the Bill Fritz Coaching Staff of the Year honor after guiding the Profs to their 11th consecutive outdoor team title. Rowan accumulated 319.33 points to win by more than 100 points, collecting 11 gold medals, seven silver medals, and 11 bronze medals at the championship meet. They also mentored three of the four individual major award winners in Hester, Gonzalez, and Brown.
