MAHWAH, NJ — Rowan University captured its 11th consecutive NJAC Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Championship, totaling 319.33 points over the two-day meet to win the team title by more than 100 points. Four meet records were broken during the competition.

Rowan accounted for 11 event victories and 30 total medals. The Profs swept the podium in both the javelin and 110 hurdles and also went 1-2 in both the discus and 400-meter hurdles.
Dallas Hohney broke one of the meet’s longest-standing records in the 800 meters, clocking 1:49.26 to surpass the previous mark of 1:50.94 set by Montclair State’s Eugene Weise in 1972. Teammate Teddy Wilson placed third to give the Profs two spots on the podium.
Angel Gonzalez added a meet record in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 51.26, breaking the previous mark of 51.81 set by Rowan’s Demetrius Rooks in 2013. Samuel Agbessi finished second in the event.
In the javelin, Damitrius Hester set a meet record with a throw of 73.38 meters, eclipsing the previous standard of 69.11 meters set by Rutgers-Camden’s Tim VanLiew in 2013. Rowan swept the event with Drue Chauhan in second and Dylan Fitzpatrick in third.
Rowan also set a meet record in the 4x100 relay, finishing in 40.82 to break its own previous mark of 41.17 set in 2024. The relay consisted of Masai Byrd, Evan Corcoran, Eli Hendricks and Madaijoudou Diawara. The Profs also captured the 4x400 relay in 3:14.70.
Additional event winners for Rowan included Josh Caudill (hammer, 50.80m), Jason Agyemang (110 hurdles, 14.01), Joshua Justin (triple jump, 14.78m), David Brown (high jump, 2.09m), Ethan Plut (pole vault, 4.45m), and Javion Payne (discus, 45.98m). Rowan swept the 110 hurdles podium, with Kwaku Nkrumah finishing second and Eric Foster, Jr. third.
TCNJ recorded seven individual event victories. Braden Paulmenn won the shot put (15.00m) and added a third-place finish in the hammer. Evan Melito (32:10.75) and Sean Haggerty finished first and second, respectively, in the 10,000 meters. Kevin Matthews won the 1,500 meters in 3:54.60, while Brandon Chen took second before going on to win the 5,000 meters in 15:05.31. Ryan Segalla won the 3,000-meter steeplechase (9:33.75), Jayvee Dumas captured the decathlon (6,104 points), and Maxim Rychkov placed first in the 100 meters (10.43).
Ramapo’s Samuel Thomas won the 200 meters in 21.11 and finished second in the 100, while Benjamin Zelasco placed second in the decathlon. The Roadrunners also picked up silver medals in both the 4x100 and 4x400 relays.
Stockton’s Ahmad Fogg won the long jump (7.43m) and added a third-place finish in the triple jump, where teammate Bryant Nelson placed second.
NJCU’s Pratt Charles won the 400 meters in 47.43, Rutgers-Camden’s Dyheim Watson placed second in the hammer, and Kean’s Shamil Dixon finished third in the discus.
