PITMAN, NJ — Kean’s Tyler Stone and Montclair State’s Billy Tigar have been named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week after leading their respective teams to undefeated weeks on the diamond.
 
Stone, who also earned NJAC Player of the Week honors, powered No. 8 Kean to a 4-0 record, including a victory over then-No. 1 Trinity. He batted .667 (8-for-12) with five extra-base hits, including two home runs, while driving in eight and scoring six times. Stone also drew four walks, stole four bases, and was hit by pitch twice during the week.
 
Tigar fueled a 5-0 week for Montclair State with a .579 average (11-for-19), racking up 14 RBI and nine runs scored. He added a double and a home run, highlighted by a grand slam in the Red Hawks’ 15-5, eight-inning win over MIT on Sunday. Tigar also contributed two stolen bases in the standout stretch.
