PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its women's indoor track & field weekly honors for the week ending Feb. 15.
TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
GABRIELLA PAGANO • Rowan University
Senior • Blairsville, NJ/Pope John XXIII
Pagano has been named NJAC Track Athlete of the Week after a record-breaking performance in the 5000 meters at the BU Valentine Invite. She clocked a 16:45.30 to earn the sixth-best Division III time and top NJAC mark of the season. Her run represents the fastest indoor 5000 meter time in program history.
FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
ALLISON LAVIN • The College of New Jersey
Junior • Manalapan, NJ/Manalapan
Lavin has been selected as NJAC Field Athlete of the Week after breaking TCNJ's shot put record at the Widener Indoor Classic, launching a throw of 13.65 meters to claim first place and establish the 16th-best mark in Division III this season. She also competed in the weight throw, recording a distance of 14.77 meters to finish ninth.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
MICEL MARTINEZ • Montclair State University
Freshman • Union City, NJ/Union City
Martinez earned NJAC Rookie of the Week honors after clearing 1.60 meters in the high jump at the NYU Division III Invitational, placing third at the meet while posting the third-best mark in the NJAC this season and fifth-best in the Metro Region.
