PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference has announced its men's volleyball weekly award winners for the week ending Jan. 18.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
MARCUS PARDASIE • New Jersey City University
Junior • Outside Hitter • Paramus, NJ/Cresskill
Pardasie earned the first NJAC Player of the Week honor of the 2026 season after leading the Gothic Knights with 18 kills while hitting .342 in a 3-1 season-opening victory over Widener on Jan. 15. The junior outside hitter added five digs and one block in the season-opening win, totaling 20.5 points for the match.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
SEAN MCNALLY • Ramapo College
Junior • Libero • West Milford, NJ/West Milford
McNally claimed the first NJAC Defensive Player of the Week recognition of the 2026 season after recording 10 digs and one assist in the Roadrunners' 3-0 season-opening win over Lehman on Jan. 16. The junior had just one reception error while leading Ramapo's defensive effort in the sweep.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
DUNCAN STURT • Rutgers University-Newark
Freshman • Setter • Livingston, NJ/Livingston
Sturt was named NJAC Rookie of the Week after totaling 58 assists, 15 digs, and four blocks in a pair of matches. The freshman setter dished out 25 assists with nine digs and two blocks in Rutgers-Newark's 3-2 victory over Arcadia on Jan. 17, then added 33 assists, six digs, and two blocks in a 3-1 loss to MIT later that day.
