Rutgers-Newark's Rodriguez, TCNJ's Morabito Earn NJAC Women's Cross Country Weekly Honors

PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its women's cross country weekly honors for the week ending Sept. 28.
 

RUNNER OF THE WEEK
ANGELYNA RODRIGUEZ • Rutgers-Newark
Sophomore • Township of Washington, NJ/Westwood Regional
 
Rodriguez was named NJAC Runner of the Week after claiming first place at the Caldwell Cougar Chase, completing the 5K in 22:29.4. She edged a Caldwell runner by just two-tenths of a second to take the top spot and was one of two Scarlet Raiders in the individual top 10.

MALISSA MORABITO • The College of New Jersey
Freshman • Scotch Plains, NJ/Scotch Plains-Fanwood
 
Morabito became the second Lion this season to earn NJAC Rookie of the Week honors following her team-leading performance at the Don Cathcart Invitational, running the 6K race in 24:01.30. She finished 23rd overall to help lead the Lions to fifth place in the team standings.
