MSU's Churchill, Stockton's Cornell Earn NJAC Women's Cross Country Weekly Honors

PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its women's cross country weekly honors for the week ending Sept. 14.
 

RUNNER OF THE WEEK
ABIGAIL CHURCHILL • Montclair State University
Senior • Oakland, NJ / Indian Hills
 
Churchill earns her first NJAC Runner of the Week honor after she took first place at the Herb Lorenz Invitational for her second straight individual win. The senior clocked a 19:09.6 in the 5K, as her performance helped Montclair win the team title with a score of 29 points.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
SOPHIA CORNELL • Stockton University
Freshman • New Tripoli, PA / Northwestern Lehigh
 
Cornell becomes the second Osprey to earn NJAC Rookie of the Week honors in as many weeks after she placed 39th out of 83 runners at the Kutztown University DII/DIII Challenge. The Ospreys finished fifth as a team and were one of only two Division III programs in the meet.
