GALLOWAY, NJ – Stockton University men's basketball alumnus DJ Campbell recently signed a professional contract to play for
KB Apolonia of the
Albanian Basketball Superliga, which is the highest level of basketball in Albania.
Campbell, Stockton's all-time leading scorer with 2,178 points, will head to Albania on August 26. KB Apolonia is based in the city of Fier, which is located on the southwest coast of Albania near the Adriatic Sea. The squad finished third in the 2024-25 standings with a 9-11 record during the regular season and then fell to second-place Teuta Durres 3-1 in a Superliga playoff series.
Campbell spent countless hours honing his skills on the court before, during and after his time as a Stockton player. His contract came on the heels of an appearance in a showcase in South Africa this spring and a roster spot for Rise and Grind in The Basketball Tournament earlier this summer.
Campbell finished his Stockton career as the program's all-time leader in points (2,178) and three-pointers (335) as well as second in program history in steals (251), fourth in blocked shots (85), fifth in rebounds (668) and ninth in assists (256).
Campbell's lengthy list of honors was highlighted by an NABC First Team All-America nod in 2022. He was a three-time NABC All-District player (2022, 24 First Team, 2023 Second Team) and four-time NJAC First Team selection (2021-24). Campbell was voted NJAC Player of the Year and NABC District 4 Player of the Year in 2022 and NJAC Rookie of the Year in 2020.
Campbell joins fellow Stockton men's basketball alumni Josh Blamon, Armin Cane and Jordan Taylor as Ospreys who have played professionally in the past decade.
