WP's Pricken, TCNJ's Evaldi, USMMA's Hu Earn NJAC Women's Swimming & Diving Weekly Honors

PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its women's swimming and diving weekly honors for the week ending Feb. 2.
 

SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
SAMANTHA PRICKEN • William Paterson University
Senior • Wayne, NJ / Wayne Valley
 
Pricken becomes the second Pioneer to earn NJAC Swimmer of the Week this season. The senior secured two first-place finishes in William Paterson’s meet against Ramapo. She won the 100 backstroke in 1:02.20 and the 200 backstroke in 2:18.48, leading the Pioneers in both events.
 
 
DIVER OF THE WEEK
BETH EVALDI • The College of New Jersey
Junior • Ewing, NJ / Hun School
 
Evaldi is named NJAC Diver of the Week for the fifth time this year, this time for her performance at the USMMA Memorial Invitational. She won the 1-meter dive with a score of 291.25 and followed that with a dominant performance in the 3-meter dive, scoring 297.70 points.
 
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
MEGAN HU • United States Merchant Marine Academy
Freshman • Syosset, NY / Syosset
 
Hu earns her second NJAC Rookie of the Week honor of the season after an outstanding showing at the USMMA Memorial Invitational. She captured first place in both the 100 breaststroke (1:09.50) and the 200 breaststroke (2:30.78). Hu also helped her 200 medley relay team place second (1:54.58) and posted a season-best time of 5:27.35 in the 500 freestyle, finishing second overall.
