PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its women's volleyball weekly honors for the week ending Oct. 26.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
BRYN BAUTISTA • Montclair State University

Bautista is named NJAC Player of the Week after she delivered an exceptional all-around performance as Montclair State rolled to a perfect 4-0 week, including two NJAC wins. The sophomore dominated offensively with 57 kills (4.38 per set) while recording double-digit kills in all four matches, and added 44 digs (3.38 per set), five service aces, and two blocks. Her finest outing came Saturday at SUNY New Paltz, where she notched a career-high 20 kills alongside 16 digs and two blocks in a four-set victory. Bautista also posted strong performances against Ramapo (12 kills, 6 digs), Rutgers-Newark (12 kills, 9 digs), and Clark (13 kills, 13 digs). The sophomore is averaging 2.79 kills, 2.91 digs, and 3.32 points per set this season to rank within the top 13 in the NJAC in all three categories.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
CAYLEY ELENA MORRISON • Kean University

Morrison, a two-time NJAC Player of the Week earning her first Defensive honor of the year, was a wall at the net as Kean surged to first place in the NJAC standings with a perfect 4-0 week. The junior middle blocker totaled 22 blocks (1.69 per set) across four matches while adding 49 kills and hitting .396 for the week. She dominated defensively with five total blocks against both Dickinson (5 solo) and Ramapo (3 solo, 3 assists), posted six total blocks (6 solo, 2 assists) against Haverford, and recorded four total blocks (1 solo, 3 assists) in the opening sweep of Rowan. She was equally effective offensively, recording 49 kills while hitting an impressive .396 for the week, including a blistering .583 performance (17 kills) against Dickinson and .480 (14 kills) versus Rowan. Morrison contributed 62.5 total points and was instrumental in Kean's rise to the top of the conference standings. She currently leads the NJAC in hitting percentage (.374) and blocks (1.09/set), ranks fourth in points (4.16/set), and sixth in kills (3.43/set).
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
ASHLEY TOROK • Kean University
Freshman • Outside Hitter • Woodbridge, NJ/Woodbridge
Torok, now a three-time NJAC Rookie of the Week, played a crucial role in Kean's undefeated 4-0 week and climb to the top of the NJAC standings. The freshman outside hitter recorded 51 kills (3.92 per set) while hitting .300 for the week, adding 33 digs (2.54 per set), six service aces, and three total blocks for 58.5 points. She paced Kean with 18 kills against Ramapo in a four-set win and delivered 15 kills in the opening victory over Rowan. Torok capped her week with a stellar .500 hitting percentage (13 kills, 1 error on 24 attempts) and 13 digs against Haverford. The rookie currently ranks second overall and first among freshman in kills (3.85/set) and third overall/first among freshman in points (4.43/set).
