Salisbury's Knorr and Potts, USMMA's Cable Earn NJAC Men's Swimming & Diving Weekly Honors

PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its men's swimming and diving weekly honors for the week ending Jan. 26.
 

SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
CHRISTOPHER KNORR • Salisbury University
Senior • Baltimore, MD/Archbishop Curley
 
Knorr becomes the second Sea Gull this season to earn NJAC Swimmer of the Week honors. He delivered a stellar performance in Salisbury’s win over Catholic, earning four gold medals and setting pool records in each event. Knorr claimed individual victories in the 100 fly (55.32) and the 200 fly (2:03.02), with the latter setting a Salisbury program record. Additionally, he anchored the 200 medley relay (1:42.71) and the 400 free relay (3:28.13) to victories. His individual event times (converted from short-course meters to yards) were both among the top four fastest in the NJAC in the respective events this season.
 
 
DIVER OF THE WEEK
THOMAS CABLE • United States Merchant Marine Academy
Junior • Litchfield Park, AZ/Verrado
 
Cable is named NJAC Diver of the Week for the second straight week and third time overall. He excelled at the Skyline Conference Championships, securing first place in both the 1-meter (436.80) and 3-meter (514.55) diving events, hitting NCAA qualifying scores in each. He also earned Skyline Diver of the Year honors for his performances.
 
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
MASON POTTS • Salisbury University
Freshman • Lansdale, PA/North Penn
 
Potts is named NJAC Rookie of the Week for the sixth time this season. The freshman capped his first regular season with quadruple golds in Salisbury's win over Catholic, setting five pool records in the process. Potts earned individual wins in the 50 free (23.35) and the 100 back (56.65), and contributed to victories in the 200 medley relay (1:42.71) and the 400 free relay (3:28.13). His 100 free split of 51.68 as part of the 400 free relay also broke a pool record. He currently holds the NJAC’s fastest 50 free time of the season and second-fastest 100 free and 100 back times.
