Kean's Wilson, WP's Morrison, Salisbury's Gula Earn NJAC Women's Swimming & Diving Weekly Honors

PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its women's swimming and diving weekly honors for the week ending Nov. 10.
 

SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
BRAELYN WILSON • Kean University
Freshman • Mont Vernon, NH/The Academy Science and Design
 
Wilson has earned her first NJAC Swimmer of the Week award this season, adding to her accolades as a two-time Rookie of the Week. She set a school and Coast Guard Academy pool record in the 100 backstroke with a time of 57.40, which ranks 18th in NCAA Division III this season. Wilson also secured first-place finishes in the 200 medley relay (26.92 split), 50 free (25.08), and 400 free relay (26.41 split) in her meet performances.
 
DIVER OF THE WEEK
OLIVIA MORRISON • William Paterson University
Freshman • Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown
 
Morrison has earned her first career NJAC Diver of the Week award. She posted a score of 128.15 on the 1-meter board during William Paterson’s 88-55 victory over Moravian on November 8.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
MACKENZIE GULA • Salisbury University
Freshman • Bloomingburg, NY/Pine Bush
 
Gula has earned her second NJAC Rookie of the Week award of the season. She captured four gold medals in a dual meet against Washington College, including a program-record 50-meter freestyle at 27.20 (converted to 24.64). Gula also won the 100-meter butterfly in 1:04.72 and contributed to winning performances in the 200 medley relay (2:03.46) and 400 freestyle relay (4:04.20). Both the 50 free and 400 free relay times were also Maggs Pool records.
