TCNJ Wins 2020-21 NJAC Women's Cross Country Title

GALLOWAY, NJ --- It took a few extra months to crown an NJAC Women's Cross Country champion this year, but on Saturday morning five TCNJ runners finished in the top six and the Lions posted 18 team points to win the title at the Stockton cross country course.

The Lions won their third title in the last four years and 33rd overall as a program.

Stockton finished second in the team standings with 43 points, followed by Montclair State (82), NJCU (117), and Rutgers-Camden (128).

A pair of rookies led the Lions with Salini Iyer taking home the individual title with a 6K time of 24:02 and Cassidy Quinn finishing runner-up with a time of 24:03. Nicole Fenske (4th; 24:48), Jazzlyn Diaz (5th; 24:52), and Kelsey Kobus (6th; 24:58) rounded out the top five finishers for the Lions.

A trio of Stockton runners finished in the top 10, including junior Jessie Klenk who posted a third place overall finish with a time of 24:08. Rookies Kierstin Clem (7th; 25:00) and Olivia Harris (8th; 25:14) also ran top-10 times.

Sophomore Christiana Caprio led Montclair State with a 12th place finish of 25:35. NJCU was led by sophomore April Gutierrez who posted a 15th place time of 25:43, and rookie Rebecca Savidge led Rutgers-Camden with a 25th place mark of 29:34.
