SPARTANBURG, SC --- Four NJAC runners represented the conference at the NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championship on Saturday in Spartanburg, South Carolina, led by Rowan senior Gabriella Pagano.
Pagano paced the NJAC contingent with a 45th-place finish, completing the 6K course in 22:06.7 among the 290 runners in the field. The senior finished just five spots shy of earning All-America honors, which are awarded to the top 40 finishers.
Ramapo junior Dale Leonard followed in 193rd place, finishing in 23:26.0. Leonard, the only female qualifier in Ramapo program history, made her third consecutive appearance at the national championship.
TCNJ junior Naesha Gadie placed 166th with a time of 23:17.1, marking the Lions' highest finish at nationals since 2018.
Montclair State senior Abigail Churchill rounded out the NJAC finishers in 257th place, clocking 24:22.1. Churchill became Montclair State's first-ever women's cross country national qualifier in the modern era since the program was restarted.
Middlebury junior Audrey Maclean captured the individual championship with a winning time of 20:16.8, while NYU claimed the team title with 79 points.
