TCNJ Finishes Runner-Up at Metro Regional, Rowan's Pagano Leads Group of Four To Earn Individual Bids to NCAA Championships

LOGAN TOWNSHIP, NJ – The College of New Jersey led all NJAC teams with a runner-up finish in the team standings at the NCAA Metro Regional on Saturday, while four NJAC runners earned individual qualifications to the NCAA Championships set for Nov. 22 in Spartanburg, SC.
 
Gabriella Pagano of Rowan was the top NJAC individual with a third-place finish in 21:14.1, earning an individual bid to nationals for the second straight year.
 
Ramapo’s Dale Leonard placed fifth in 21:43.2 to punch her ticket to her third national meet.
 
Abigail Churchill became the first Montclair State runner since the revival of the program in 2016 to earn a nationals qualification as she took sixth with a program-record 21:58.1.
 
Naesha Gadie of TCNJ claimed the seventh and final individual qualifying spot in 21:59.4 to head to nationals for the second time in her career.
 
TCNJ finished second in the team standings with 103 points. Gadie led the Lions in seventh place, while Ella Daly finished 16th in 22:33.7. Ava Biemuller placed 24th (22:48.3), Teagan Walker took 30th (22:58.1) and Alex Grivas rounded out the scoring five in 33rd place at 23:03.0.
 
Rowan finished fourth in the team standings with 113 points, while Stockton placed fifth with 172 points. Ramapo, Montclair State, and Kean rounded out the NJAC scoring teams.
