Class of 2020 Spotlight: TCNJ Softball

The New Jersey Athletic Conference honors the seniors across all of our spring sports who had their seasons painfully cut short by the global pandemic, but whose dedication, perseverance, and passion for their sport, their academics, and their institution over the last four years was nothing short of admirable. Thank You Seniors, and congratulations and best wishes to the Class of 2020!

KRISTEN BARRERA

"Kristen had a unique pitching role the last few years and was instrumental with us winning close games. We had a good game plan with her this year and I was excited to see all she was going to do. Kristen has been a leader of the program for years. It has been her ability to push through adversity and her never quit attitude that pushed her through the four years. Kristen held her teammates accountable and it didn’t matter who they were - she has always wanted what was best for the team. Kristen is graduating with a Biology degree this month and is continuing her education next year to be a Physician Assistant."

MEGAN MAYERNIK

"Megan has been the glue to our defense the last three years as our starting shortstop. I wish I could put a video together of the amazing plays she has made in her career. One of the most fierce and tough competitors I have coached, Megan has elevated so many of her teammates' play around her and given them a standard to take into next year. Megan has always seen and played the game with a different set of eyes and sense than most.  Megan is graduating this month with a degree in Management."

ANNALISE SUITOVSKY

"Annie has been a versatile player for us during her career and instrumental in our program’s success. She’s a quiet player who always just got her job done defensively and offensively.  I was expecting Annie to have a great senior year in the outfield and at the plate this year. I will miss watching her daily desire of challenging herself every day at practice and mentally taking her game to another level to be the player she ended up being. Annie is graduating this month with a degree in Accounting. "
