GALLOWAY, NJ --- TCNJ's Natalie Cooper defended her 2016 individual title, becoming the NJAC's seventh all-time repeat individual champion and leading the Lions to their 31st team title in program history at the 2017 NJAC Women's Cross Country Championship on Saturday at Stockton's 6K course.

The Lions earned 20 points in their team victory, and were followed by Stockton (47), Ramapo (60), Rowan (94), Montclair State (163), Rutgers-Camden (175), and Rutgers-Newark (219).
The Lions placed four of the NJAC's top five runners. Joining Cooper in the top five were (3) Erin Holzbaur (22:55), (4) Madeleine Tattory (22:57), and (5) Gabby DeVito (23:01). DeVito also finished as the conference's top rookie in the meet.
Stockton's Alicia Belko - the 2016 NJAC Rookie of the Year - finished as the individual runner-up with a time of 21:59. She led a trio of Ospreys who finished in the top 10, including eighth-place Christina Welsh (23:42) and tenth-place Caitlin Glynn (23:54). Ramapo's Jennifer Polo (23:02) and Alex Kyros (23:44) finished sixth and ninth, respectively, to fill in the conference's top 10 individuals.
Rowan's Jennifer Klavens (24:04), Montclair State's Ilyada Erdal (26:37), Rutgers-Camden's Alexis Jones (25:43), Rutgers-Newark's Lama Darwiche (29:09), and NJCU's Karina Torres (34:00) led their respective squads at the conference meet.
NJAC cross country teams return to action on Saturday, Nov. 11, at the NCAA Atlantic Regionals in Houghton, NY.
