Araujo slots in at No. 69 on the NJAC's 70-in-70 list. A two-time All-American (D3soccer.com Second Team in 2013, NSCAA Second Team in 2014) — the first in Rutgers-Newark history — Araujo was the 2013 NJAC Co-Offensive Player of the Year and ECAC Metro Offensive Player of the Year, and a two-time First Team All-NJAC selection. In just two seasons with the Scarlet Raiders, he set the program's single-season goal record with 27 in his first year and finished his career with 46 goals and 10 assists for 102 points. He went on to represent the U.S. men's national futsal team, a role he still holds today, and was inducted into the Rutgers-Newark Hall of Fame in 2023.

In celebration of the 70th anniversary of the New Jersey Athletic Conference, the NJAC will name its Top 70 Student-Athletes in the 70-year history of the conference. All selections were made by a panel comprised of current and former athletic administrators, current and former athletic communications personnel, conference office staff, and media. Consideration was limited to full-member institution student-athletes who competed in sports currently sponsored by the NJAC.
