PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its men's indoor track & field weekly honors for the week ending Feb. 1.
TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
MAXIM RYCHKOV • The College of New Jersey
Sophomore • Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville
Rychkov is named NJAC Track Athlete of the Week after a dominant performance at the Widener Schuylkill Showdown. The sophomore captured the 60 meters in 6.78, finishing just .01 seconds shy of his own school record and posting a top-10 NCAA Division III mark. He then reset his own school record in the 200 meters with a season-best time of 21.26, which currently ranks fourth nationally and sixth all-time in D3. Rychkov also anchored TCNJ's 4x400 relay with a 47.0 split on a squad that posted a 3:15.43, the fifth-fastest time in D3.
FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
ANTHONY PARKER • Rowan University
Freshman • Salem, NJ/Salem
Parker earns NJAC Field Athlete of the Week honors after shattering the school record in the long jump at the METS Championship. The freshman soared 7.56 meters to claim the top mark in the NJAC and move to second in NCAA Division III, with his distance also ranking as the 14th-best all-time in D3 history. Parker also competed in the 60-meter hurdles prelims, clocking 8.42.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
MARQUIS TAYLOR • Rowan University
Freshman • Woodbury, NJ/Woodbury
Taylor claims NJAC Rookie of the Week recognition following his strong showing at the METS Championship. The freshman posted a personal-best time of 22.31 in the 200 meters, a mark that ranks among the top 10 in the NJAC. He then split 48.68 on Rowan's 4x400 relay that finished in 3:15.05, the second-fastest time in Division III this season.
