PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference has announced its women's basketball weekly award winners for the week ending Jan. 4.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
AUTUMN JOHN • New Jersey City University
Junior • Forward • Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway
John is named NJAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week after recording 31 points and 30 rebounds across two games during the holiday break, including a matchup against Division I Wagner where she grabbed 14 boards. The junior forward dominated the glass with 18 offensive rebounds while shooting 45% from the field, including a 59% performance against Albertus Magnus where she tallied a huge double-double of 23 points and 16 rebounds. John paced the Gothic Knights in rebounds and posted back-to-back double-digit rebounding efforts, her third and fourth such performances of the season. This marked her second weekly award of the season, earlier being named the Week 4 Defensive Player of the Week. She currently leads the NJAC in overall rebounding at just shy of double digits per game (9.9 rpg). She is also tied for sixth in the conference in blocks (1.0 bpg).
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ZEMIRAH ENALLS • Stockton University

Enalls earns NJAC Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week honors after averaging 15.0 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game in two contests. The freshman forward did everything she could defensively in two setbacks, totaling 30 rebounds, including a career-high 19 offensive boards, while swatting seven shots and adding two steals. Enalls registered her third double-double of the season with 14 points, 19 rebounds (13 offensive), and a career-high four blocks against Christopher Newport on Jan. 3. The day prior, she pulled down 11 boards, blocked three shots, and chipped in seven points while committing just one turnover against Virginia Wesleyan. A two-time Rookie of the Week as well, Enalls is the leading rookie rebounder – and ranks second in the NJAC – with 8.7 boards per game. She also leads all rookies and is fourth overall with 1.4 blocks per game.

Jones is tabbed NJAC Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week for the second time after leading the Roadrunners to a thrilling 51-47 victory over Manhattanville. The freshman guard delivered a complete performance with 14 points, seven rebounds, four assists, four blocks, and three steals while helping Ramapo snap the Valiants' seven-game winning streak. Jones led her team in assists, blocks, and steals while anchoring a defensive effort that held Manhattanville to single digits in both the second (9 points) and fourth (5 points) quarters. The rookie ranks in the NJAC top 15 in assists (2.3 apg), steals (2.0 spg), and blocks (0.8 bpg).
