Rowan Sweeps NJAC Men's Indoor Weekly Honors; Hohney, Gantt, Brown Honored

PITMAN --- The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced its men's indoor track & field weekly honors for the week ending Jan. 18.
 

TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
DALLAS HOHNEY • Rowan University
Senior • Glassboro, NJ/Glassboro
 
Hohney claimed NJAC Track Athlete of the Week honors after rewriting the Division III record books in the 500 meters at the Gotham Cup at Ocean Breeze. The senior blazed to a time of 1:02.33, shattering the previous national record of 1:02.64 set last March while also establishing a new Rowan school mark in the process.
 
FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
JAMILE GANTT • Rowan University
Junior • Paulsboro, NJ/Paulsboro
 
Gantt earned NJAC Field Athlete of the Week recognition after soaring to a height of 2.10 meters in the high jump at the Gotham Cup at Ocean Breeze. The junior's clearance stands as the top Division III performance in the nation this season.
 
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
DAVID BROWN • Rowan University
Freshman • Edison, NJ/Edison
 
Brown was named NJAC Rookie of the Week after an impressive collegiate debut at the Gotham Cup at Ocean Breeze, clearing 2.04 meters in the high jump. The freshman's performance ranks sixth nationally in Division III and is tied for fourth in the NJAC this season.
