BIRMINGHAM, AL — The New Jersey Athletic Conference closed out the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday with one of its most decorated days in recent memory, adding national titles, runner-up finishes and a wave of All-America honors across sprints, hurdles, distance and field events.
Rowan captured the men's team title with 75 points, edging Wisconsin-La Crosse (74) in one of the closest finishes in championship history. TCNJ finished tied for 10th with 15 points and Stockton finished tied for 20th with 8 points.
Rowan’s championship marked the first indoor track & field national title ever won by an NJAC program, the first national team title in track & field for the conference since Rowan (then Glassboro State) claimed the 1984 outdoor championship, and the first national team title by any NJAC program in any sport since TCNJ's field hockey team won it all in 2014.
On the women's side, TCNJ led the conference with 12 points to finish 17th, while Stockton placed 25th with 8 points and Rowan added 3 points to finish 47th.
WOMEN
TCNJ's Lucia Garcia-Beltran was the story of the women's competition, turning in a remarkable double on the final day. The sprinter claimed national runner-up honors in the 60 meters, clocking 7.54 to finish second overall and earn First Team All-America recognition. She returned later in the day to place fifth in the 200 meters at 24.34, adding a second First Team All-America honor to her résumé.
Rowan's Nyla Jones also earned First Team All-America honors in the 60 meter hurdles final, running 8.67 to place sixth overall.
TCNJ's Allison Lavin competed in the shot put, finishing 19th overall at 12.10m.
MEN
Rowan's Rajahn Dixon won the 200 meters in 20.92 to claim the national championship and First Team All-America honors. TCNJ's Maxim Rychkov placed third at 21.15 and Rowan's Eli Hendricks placed fifth at 21.24, both earning First Team All-America recognition as well — giving the NJAC three First Team All-Americans in the event.
Rowan's Seth Clevenger then capped a dominant championship weekend with a second national title, winning the 3,000 meters in a meet record time of 7:54.92 and earning First Team All-America honors — adding to his 5,000 meter title and meet record from Friday.
In the men's 60 meter hurdles final, Rowan swept two of the top three spots. Kwaku Nkrumah took second overall in 7.92 to earn national runner-up honors and First Team All-America recognition, while Jason Agyemang placed third at 7.95, also earning First Team All-America honors. TCNJ’s Rychkov added a third All-America honor on the day, placing sixth in the 60 meters final at 6.76 for First Team All-America recognition.
Rowan's Joshua Justin also earned national runner-up honors in the triple jump, leaping 14.93m to finish second overall and claim First Team All-America recognition.
The men's high jump was a showcase for the conference. Rowan's David Brown and Jamile Gantt both cleared 2.09m to place third and fourth respectively, each earning First Team All-America honors. Noah Wampole placed sixth at 2.06m for First Team All-America recognition, and Arrington Rhym placed eighth at 2.06m, also earning First Team All-America honors. Rutgers-Camden's Jayden Deleon tied for 14th at 1.98m to earn Second Team All-America recognition.
TCNJ's 4x400 relay team of Noah Traverso, Nathaniel Adams, Lebron Rose and Maxim Rychkov ran 3:13.41 to place third overall and earn First Team All-America honors.
TCNJ's Jayvee Dumas earned Second Team All-America recognition in the heptathlon, totaling 4,874 points to place 14th overall. Stockton's Ahmad Fogg placed 10th in the triple jump at 14.27m to earn Second Team All-America honors.
