Tobler and Green Earn Major Honors for Third Straight Year; 2025 NJAC Women's Lacrosse All-Conference Announced

PITMAN --- The College of New Jersey graduate student Ally Tobler (Washington Twp., NJ/Washington Twp.) has been named the NJAC Women's Lacrosse Attack Player of the Year and Rowan University senior Molly Green (Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Regional) is Midfielder of the Year for the third straight year to highlight the slate of all-conference honorees.

In addition, Rowan senior Katie Montenero (Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) is Defensive Player of the Year; TCNJ graduate student Julia Charest (Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson) is the Goaltender of the Year for the second time in three years; and Kean University freshman Ella Petrosh (Egg Harbor City, NJ/Holy Spirit) earns Rookie of the Year honors. Rowan head coach Lindsay Delaney and her staff were voted the NJAC Coaching Staff of the Year.

Their selections headline the 23-member all-conference team, with selections based on a vote of the league's six head coaches and taking into account overall season performances.

Tobler, a four-time all-conference and now three-year Attack Player of the Year honoree, goes down in TCNJ and NJAC history as one of the best offensive players. With 367 career points and counting, Tobler ranks second in TCNJ history and with 246 draw controls, she ranks sixth in program history. Tobler led the NJAC this season in goals (69) and goals per game (4.31), which ranks 14th in NCAA Division III. She also finished the regular season ranked second in the NJAC in points (94) and points per game (5.88), also among the top 25 nationally. Tobler also led the NJAC in draw controls (102) and draw controls per game (6.38), becoming the only player in the conference this season to eclipse 100 draws. She was also among the top 10 nationally in free position percentage. She posted season highs of eight points on three different occasions and a season-best seven goals in a 17-3 win over Kenyon. Tobler was a five-time NJAC Offensive Player of the Week this season.

Green, a four-time all-conference honoree and now three-time Midfielder of the Year, was the engine that powered Rowan to a huge season. Behind her leadership, the Profs posted three ranked wins including a program statement win over then-No. 4 Franklin & Marshall. Green scored the winning goal with 27 seconds remaining to upset the Diplomats. She also led the Profs to wins over then-No. 17 Stevens and then-No. 24 Christopher Newport. Green, Rowan's career leader in draw controls (357), ground balls (211), and caused turnovers (151), led the NJAC this season in caused turnovers (43) and caused turnovers per game (2.69) which also ranked among the top 25 in D3. She posted the NJAC's highest ground ball total (50), and ranked second in total draw controls (75) this season. Green was also an offensive threat, ranking third on the Prof squad with 52 points on 35 goals and 17 assists. She registered a season-best eight points against Drew and drained five goals on two occasions. She earned Offensive Player of the Week in Week 2 and Defensive Player of the Week honors in Week 8 along with IWLCA Division III Defensive Player of the Week honors on April 15.

Montenero is now a three-time NJAC All-Conference defender and earns the top defensive yearly honor for the first time in her solid career. She anchored a Rowan defense that allowed the fewest goals among all NJAC teams this season and was among the top 25 scoring defenses in all of Division III, allowing just 7.38 goals per game. A two-time All-Region honoree so far, Montenero was critical on a defense that helped Rowan post three wins over nationally ranked teams this season. In a 13-6 win over then-No. 17 Stevens, she contributed three ground balls and caused turnover. Later in the season, she registered six draw controls and a ground ball in a 14-12 win over then-No. 24 Christopher Newport. Montenero scooped a season-high five ground balls on two separate occasions.

Charest earns Goaltender of the Year honors for the second time in her career, last earning the top honor in 2023. The four-time all-conference honoree is currently ranked third in TCNJ program history in saves (474) and wins (58). She posted the top save percentage in conference-only play (.554) and second-lowest goals against average in conference-only play (8.54), and ranked second in overall save percentage (.481) and third in overall GAA (10.21). Charest posted 10+ saves on six different occasions. Earlier in the season, she matched her career high with 15 saves against top-ranked Middlebury before besting that with a new career high of 18 saves in the regular season finale win over Rowan that gave the Lions the NJAC regular season title. For her effort in the final week, she earned IWLCA Division III Defensive Player of the Week honors and was a two-time NJAC Defensive Player of the Week honoree.

Petrosh is no stranger to NJAC Rookie of the Year honors, also garnering the top rookie honor for soccer in the fall season. The two-sport standout finished the regular season ranked fifth among all NJAC players in caused turnovers per game (1.77) and eighth in total caused turnovers (23). The midfielder contributed 38 draw controls and 31 ground balls to go with the 23 caused turnovers. Petrosh had a terrific game in a 12-7 nonconference win over Farmingdale State, registering career highs in goals (2), ground balls (7), and caused turnovers (7). She also helped Kean edge Maritime 10-9 with five ground balls and three caused turnovers. Petrosh also chipped in nine goals and an assist for 10 points out of the midfield. She was recognized three times this season as the NJAC Rookie of the Week.

Rowan head coach Lindsay Delaney and her staff including Lindsey-Kate Smith, Nicole Valianti, Reilly Shaup, and Olivia Elwell were voted the NJAC Coaching Staff of the Year by their peers. They guided the Profs to a 14-2 overall regular season record, with three wins over nationally ranked programs in then-No. 17 Stevens, then-No. 24 Christopher Newport, and the first win over a top-10 team since 2010 in then-No. 4 Franklin & Marshall. Their squad was the best scoring defense in the NJAC and among the top 25 nationally. Their team also posted the best scoring margin in the NJAC, which was also among the top 25 nationally. The Prof staff mentored five all-conference honorees, including three-time Midfielder of the Year Molly Green and Defensive Player of the Year Katie Montenero.
